Tofu-Gyros-Wrap

Ingredients
(for 4 wraps)

  • 4 naan breads (or homemade, see recipe on website)

  • 400 g firm tofu

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp gyros seasoning (or paprika, garlic powder, cumin, oregano)

  • Salt & pepper

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 tomato, sliced

  • ½ cucumber, sliced

  • 100 g fresh lettuce

  • 150 g French fries (crispy baked or fried)

For the Tzatziki

  • 200 g Greek yogurt or plant-based alternative

  • ½ cucumber, finely grated & squeezed out

  • 1 garlic clove, pressed

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare tofu
Pat tofu dry with kitchen paper, cut into strips. Marinate in a bowl with olive oil, gyros seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. Pan-fry
Heat a pan and fry the tofu over medium to high heat until crispy.

3. Make tzatziki
Grate cucumber, squeeze out excess liquid. Mix with yogurt, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt & pepper. Chill.

4. Cook fries
Bake or deep-fry fries until golden and crispy.

5. Warm naan bread
Heat briefly in a dry pan or in the oven until soft and warm.

6. Assemble wraps

  • Spread naan with tzatziki.

  • Add lettuce, cucumber slices, tomato, and onion.

  • Top with crispy tofu.

  • Add fries as an extra topping.

7. Serve
Roll up or fold wraps and enjoy immediately.

Tip: For extra flavor, marinate the tofu the day before. Spice it up with Sriracha or chili flakes if you like it hot.
